Shipping Policy

In stock items will be posted within 3-5 days of receiving your order. If you request a back order or commission, meaning I need to make the item, I will need 3-4 weeks to satisfy your order. This is due to the clay requiring 1 week to air dry after it is made, potentially 2 kiln firings and glazing time in between. Whilst your order is being created, I will happily email you images of the piece in progress if you send me your email address.

Refund Policy

Every item is packaged with the utmost care because from experience, the delivery method does not have a bearing on the way any parcel is handled (even if it is special delivery). Therefore, I use plenty of sustainable wrap and in some instances (if the item is very fragile), I will also use re-purposed bubble wrap. In addition, I ensure there is ample space between the wrapped item and sides of the box, sometimes using a box within a box. For this reason, I only refund if the item is damaged on arrival and if you email me photographic evidence of the damage to both the box/packaging and item itself. My email address is studio@sonyawilkinsceramics.com.

Cancellation / Return / Exchange Policy

I do not offer cancellations, returns or exchanges for any order or purchase on the basis that I am very happy to send you additional images and video footage to help you make a fully informed and thorough choice before completing your purchase online. Please do feel free to request further information on any item by emailing me using studio@sonyawilkinsceramics.com. I am also happy to talk over the phone if you have any questions (mobile 07790012238).

I make ceramic vessels directly informed by Mother Nature and the landscape surrounding me. In many ways, each vessel has been ‘unearthed’ – born from my deep connection to earth, sometimes made in natural crevices within earth, yet always using earth (clay) as my medium.

My hope is that each unique piece will remind you of your innate connection to nature (biophilia) and that the vessel becomes a conduit for mindful contemplation, enhancing your interior space, while offering functional use. Moreover, a reminder of our important role in being custodians of Mother Earth.

I throw, coil and hand-build my vessels in sections, forging an alliance between wild clay and commercial clay; I encourage spontaneity and chance in my work, valuing the unpredictable textures that appear through my memory of time spent in the woodland and bringing those ‘echoes’ back to my making practise.

I enjoy producing collections of work responding to different landscapes, ecosystems and plant life, as this keeps my focus alive with each changing season and phase of my own life. Previous collections have been inspired by the Sonoran Cacti in Arizona while on my travels; fern vases and bowls inspired by my love of the Lake District and more recently, my ‘Tree Trunk Vessel Collection’, inspired by my local woodland in North Somerset.

I also offer ‘Making and Mentoring in Nature’ to increase wellbeing by harnessing the power of nature with creativity and grounding practises. Please do get in touch if you are interested to find out more about this nourishing experience.
