Jane hand builds ceramic pots. Jane makes a variety og garden and house planters and vases. In addition jane makes cups, soap dishes and brooches. Every item Jane makes is different. Jane prides herself on her skills and the time taken to make beautiful objects with drawn and painted surfaces. The inspiration for Janes work comes from the history of ceramics from the story telling of activity and social history to the function. Nature is important in Janes work from the inspiration of plants, seed pods and animals to the fact that you can grow things in these pots. Continual drawing and reinvention is key, although the fluid lines and energy of Jane’s work is recognisable in each piece.
